Jordan Love scores a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys during the NFL Season 2026Summary:

  • The Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 23-13 to secure their third consecutive victory, improving to 4-2.
  • Two interceptions stopped promising Cowboys drives, while Green Bay held Dallas scoreless in the first half.
  • Jordan Love and his receivers missed several potential touchdowns, but Green Bay still controlled the game.

The Green Bay Packers managed to extend their winning streak to three games with a 23-13 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night in the NFL, taking advantage of their strong defensive performance to keep one of the most dangerous offenses in check.

Quarterback Jordan Love threw a touchdown pass to Matthew Golden and added a 1-yard rushing score as Green Bay improved to 4-2. Love finished 23 of 41 for 276 yards and one interception, with three potential touchdown passes lost to dropped catches.

Rather than dwell on the missed opportunities, Love focused on moving forward.

I want to make every throw. I want these guys to make every catch. That’s the expectation. Stuff happens. Drops happen.

Golden caught six passes for 104 yards but had two chances to add to his touchdown total slip away. Christian Watson also dropped a potential scoring pass in the third quarter, although Dallas defender Malachi Lawrence got a hand on the ball.

Despite the missed opportunities, Green Bay did control the game from the opening drive. Love’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Golden gave the Packers an early lead they never surrendered.

Green Bay led 17-0 at halftime, holding Dallas scoreless over the opening two quarters.

Costly Interceptions

The Cowboys had opportunities to get back into the game, but two interceptions proved costly. Evan Williams and Brandon Cisse picked off Dak Prescott on consecutive Dallas possessions, both coming when the Cowboys had moved inside Green Bay’s 30-yard line.

Prescott completed 34 of 54 passes for 258 yards. His 6-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Flournoy with 44 seconds remaining reduced the deficit, but Dallas failed to convert the ensuing two-point attempt.

The loss dropped the Cowboys to 2-4 and marked the first time they had been shut out in the first half since November 2021.

Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer said.

We’re in a hole. (We) put ourselves there. There’s one way out of it. That’s what I told the guys, I said, ‘You know, got to work. Got to find solutions. Can’t repeat mistakes.’

Green Bay’s defense has been a major factor in its recent run. The Packers have allowed no more than 14 points in each of their three consecutive victories, a feat they had not achieved across three straight games since 2016.

The game was also marked by 22 penalties, with both teams flagged 11 times. Dallas finished with 108 penalty yards, while Green Bay had 96.

The Packers could soon receive another boost, with running back Josh Jacobs expected to return from the commissioner’s exempt list Monday. Jacobs has yet to play this season.

Green Bay visits Detroit next Sunday, while Dallas travels to Philadelphia on October 26.
