Figueiredo was initially scheduled to make his first title defense against former champ Cody Garbrandt. However, Garbrandt got injured and the UFC decided to give the opportunity to Alex Perez who is coming off an impressive TKO win by leg kicks off Justin Formiga in June 2020.

Perez is a veteran MMA fighter with a 24-5 record. He goes in as a heavy underdog with odds of +235 against Figueiredo who has odds of -305. Figueiredo is a KO specialist and is in great shape leading up to this fight as he said he took some of the money from the last fight and invested it in himself by hiring a nutritionist which will help him with his weight cut.

Perez is also a KO artist but also has some slick submissions. The bookmakers might have counted Perez out but he has a good chin and can give as good as he gets. If you like taking risks, put some money on Perez.

If you follow MMA, you know that Valentina Shevchenko is one of the most dominant fighters in women’s MMA. Her title reign at flyweight has been super impressive and so far there does not appear to be any contender that can seriously challenge her for the title. The Brazilian Jennifer Maia will look to change that but does she have enough tools in her arsenal to beat Valentina?
