Manny Pacquiao is one of the best boxers of this generation and has a unique record of being the only boxer to hold world titles across four different decades. Pacquiao has fought some of the biggest names in the sport including Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton.

His record stands at 62-7-2 and there seems to be no quit in Pacquiao as he is determined to keep fighting on. Pacquiao does not have to fight for money anymore as he has made lots of money and is one of the richest men in the Philippines. He is also a Senator in his home country and an astute businessman. Pacquiao is fighting because he loves the challenge.

Bovada has Pacquiao as the heavy favorite with odds of -375 while the Cuban fighter Yordenis Ugas is the underdog with odds of +275. Boxing fans don’t know much about Ugas as his name is only getting attention now because he is fighting Pacquiao.

Yordenis Ugas is 35 years old and has a record of 30 fights, 26 wins and 4 losses. He won 12 of his fights by KO and is more of a decision fighter. Ugas is the WBA (Super) world welterweight champ and he will be putting his belt on the line against Pacquiao.

The 42 year old Pacquiao went through a hard training camp in preparation for Errol Spence Jr. He was disappointed when Spence Jr. had to pull out but wished him well and said he was glad the doctors discovered the torn retina before the fight. The fight against Ugas should turn out to be a less challenging ordeal for Pacquiao but he isn’t going to underestimate Ugas in anyway.

If Pacquiao does end up winning this fight, he is likely to schedule one last fight before retiring. His retirement is not because he does not feel like fighting anymore but because he has bigger plans for his future. Pacquiao is looking to run for President in the Philippines in 2022.
