Dillon Danis and Logan PaulSummary

  • BJJ star Dillon Danis is set to box Logan Paul on Oct 14
  • Due to the theatrics and lawsuits surrounding Danis, there is speculation he will not show up
  • Mike Perry has been put on standby as a backup

Serious boxing fans don’t pay a lot of attention to influencer boxing matches which have become a huge attraction in the last few years. We got a hyped up boxing card taking place on Oct 14 in the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

The card will be headlined by KSI vs. Tommy Fury who is a legit boxer and the brother to heavyweight WBC champ Tyson ‘the Gypsy King’ Fury. However, the fight that is getting the most attention on social media is the co-Main Event which will see BJJ star Dillon Danis take on Logan Paul who is the elder brother to Jake Paul.

Why Dillon Danis May Not Show Up?

The first thing we need to point out is that Dillon Danis is a professional BJJ star who has competed in MMA a couple of times for Bellator. The 30 year old Danis is most certainly not a boxer as he has never had a professional fight in a boxing ring and does not have great hands even in the MMA world!

Danis has a 2-0 record in MMA but hasn’t fought since 2019 though was scheduled to fight KSI in January before dropping out as he has had to battle injuries and a lot of other personal issues. However, he has managed to stay relevant mostly by using social media to troll other MMA fighters and keep his name in the spotlight.

Danis has had a long standing social media beef with Logan Paul and that helped him push for a boxing fight with Logan Paul. Once the contract was signed, Danis decided to use social media to promote the fight and in doing so attacked Logan’s fiancé Nina Agdal by posting multiple scantily clad pictures of her and resorting to calling her abusive names.

Nina Agdal went on to file a lawsuit against Danis and is suing him for hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages. Due to the mounting pressure on Danis, there is speculation that he will not show up for the fight.

Mike Perry Ready To Step In

Mike Perry has been kept on standby to step in if Danis does not show up and as of this writing it looks like its 50/50 that Perry might have to step in! Keep up with the latest odd from a selection of UK sportsbooks no matter which fighter enters the ring.
