When you have done just about all there is to do on the professional tennis circuit, it can be hard finding the motivation to train and play at your best.

Serena Williams who will go down as one of the greatest female players of all times is fully motivated as she prepares to start another season in 2019.

Williams silenced all her doubters when she came back from a difficult pregnancy, put in the time and effort to train and regain her fitness and launch an impressive comeback in 2018.

She made it to the final of the 2018 US Open but ended up on the losing side. Williams needs just one more Grand Slam title to equal Margaret Court’s record of having won 24 Grand Slams.

Williams has a lot of motivation left in her as she will not only want to equal Court’s record but to surpass it and get to 25 Grand Slam wins and go down in history as the greatest female tennis player. Williams currently has 11 Australian Open wins, 5 French Opens, 3 Wimbledon and 5 US Open wins.

She has done incredibly well at the Australia Open and would ideally want to open her 2019 season with her 12th Australian Open. While she will be more than happy to win any Grand Slam, it would be perfect if she could set the new Grand Slam record with a win a Wimbledon where she hasn’t had the success she would have liked.

Williams Looking To Inspire Women

The 37 year old has no plans to retire anytime soon and has been on a mission to inspire mothers and women around the world to pursue their dreams in the midst of adversity. Williams has faced adversity both on and off the court and her last outing at the US Open created a lot of controversy when she had an emotional meltdown and called the chair umpire a thief and a liar.

She is looking to put all that behind her in 2019 and show both her fans and critics that she can not only bounce back and win a Grand Slam but can also handle the role of being a mother and a successful tennis pro. Williams is finishing 2018 ranked 16th and will be looking to take back her number one ranking and dominate the courts in 2019.
