  • LeBron James apologizes to fans for poor performance

Lakers fans expected big things from them this NBA season.

The LA Lakers came in with a pretty strong team featuring LeBron James, Anthony Joshua and Russell Westbrook.

However, its been a pretty disappointing journey so far this season for the LA Lakers as they have played well below potential.

The Lakers have lost their last three games in a row with their last loss coming at the hands of the Denver Nuggets who outplayed and outclassed them to win 133-96. Prior to this game, the Lakers lost to the Sacramento Kings 125-116 and before that another loss to the Memphis Grizzlies 127-119.

The Lakers are currently in 8th place on the points table and have a record of 21 wins, 22 losses, having won 5 and lost 5 out of their last 10 games. Those stats are those of a very average team and that did not go down well with Magic Johnson.

Johnson played for the Lakers for 12 seasons and led them to 5 NBA championships. He later played the role of a head coach and has a strong relationship with the Lakers management.

Johnson Hits Out At Lakers

Magic Johnson wasn’t very impressed with how the Lakers have played this season and their third consecutive loss caused him to lash out at the team on social media. Johnson said that Lakers fans will be accepting of the fact that they were outplayed but they will not accept the lack of urgency and effort that the team showed against the Nuggets.

He ended his small rant by tagging Lakers President Jeanie Buss and telling her that she deserves better from the team. His criticism echoes the sentiments of loads of Lakers fans who believe the team has let them down badly this season.

Head coach Frank Vogel said the team needed to go back to the drawing board as their performances recently have not been good enough. Vogel said the team was not as connected as it should be and blamed a lack of practice time for their failures.

LeBron James issued an apology to the fans and said that the team will do better!
