Lakers To Investigate DeMarcus Cousins Over Alleged Death Threat

DeMarcus Cousins got married to Morgan Lang on August 24 and his wedding was attended by some of the top NBA players including Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors and Anthony Davis from the LA Lakers. 

DeMarcus Cousins is going to find it difficult to have a quiet and peaceful honeymoon as TMZ released an audio recording this week where Cousins is allegedly threatening his former girlfriend Christy West (shown in picture).

The phone recording has been reportedly made by West who claims that Cousins has been physically abusive to her in the past.

Cousins requests West politely to allow their 7 year old son to attend his wedding to which West says no. This upsets the LA Lakers player who then threatens to put a bullet through her f-cking head!

Christy West filed a restraining order against Cousins to protect her and her son and played the audio recording for the court. The audio recording also alleges that Cousins claimed he was going to kill her and could end up hiring someone else to do the dirty work.

West told court officials that Cousins had choked her in the past and that she would only allow him to see their son under supervision. While a number of top NBA players showed up at Cousin’s wedding, his 7 year old son was not in attendance. 

DeMarcus Cousins who played for the Golden State Warriors last season made a move to the LA Lakers but will most likely miss most or all of the coming season as he is recovering from an ACL injury. 

The authorities have launched an investigation and so have the LA Lakers. If there is proof that the voice on the other end of the line belongs to DeMarcus Cousins, it could result in a lot of trouble for him both professionally and personally.  

The Lakers released a statement and admitted they were aware of the allegations made against Cousins. The Lakers are in the process of gathering more information and will comment on the matter after they complete their investigation. DeMarcus Cousins has chosen to remain quiet on the matter for now.

Cousins has played for the Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings during the last 9 seasons averaging around 10.9 rebounds and 21.2 points. He missed a lot of games last season with the Warriors due to injury and is off to a bad start with the Lakers in 2019!
