UFC Legacy Championship BeltThe UFC which is the premier organization in MMA has taken a break from putting up fight cards. The UFC will start 2021 with multiple fight cards in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The first fight card will take place on Jan 16.

The UFC has announced its schedule for the first quarter of 2021 and there are a number of interesting title fights coming up.

We take a look at the current list of UFC champions in the men’s division and see which UFC champs will still hold their belt when 2021 is done.

UFC – Ultimate Fighting Championship

There are some sports betting sites which are already taking betting action for this.

Heavyweight

The current champ is Stipe Miocic who is widely recognized as the best heavyweight on the planet. His two biggest rivals in 2021 will be Francis Ngannou whom he already beat in 2018.

His other rival will be former UFC lightheavyweight champ Jon Jones who has decided to move up a weightclass to see if he can claim the heavyweight belt.

We think Jon Jones will finish as champ in 2021.

Lightheavyweight

Jan Blachowicz is the champ and he will defend his title against Middleweight champ Israel Adesanaya in February. The other top contenders in this division include Dominic Reyes and Glover Teixeira.

We think Jan Blachowicz will hold on to his belt in 2021.

Middleweight

Israel Adesanaya is apparently going to come back to defend his belt after fighting Blachowicz. His biggest challenges are Robert Whittaker whom he beat to win the belt and Kevin Holland who could challenge for the belt towards the end of 2021.

We think Whittaker will finish 2021 as the new champ.

Welterweight

Kamaru Usman is the current champ and will defend his belt against Gilbert Burns in March. His biggest threats include Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev.

We think Usman will hold on to his belt in 2021.

Lightweight

Khabib Nurmagomedov has retired but hasn’t been stripped of his belt just yet. The top contenders include Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje.

We think McGregor finishes as champ in 2021.

Featherweight

Alexander Volkanovski is the current champ and his biggest threats continue to be Max Holloway, Brian Ortega and Calvin Kattar. We think Ortega finishes as champ in 2021.

Bantamweight

Petr Yan is the current champ and his toughest opponents will be Cody Garbrandt and Aljamain Sterling. We believe Yan will finish the year as champion.

Flyweight

Deiveson Figueiredo is the current champ and his biggest threat will be the rematch with Brandon Moreno. The other contender will be Askar Askarov. We think that Askarov will finish 2021 as the champ.
