The British heavyweight champ was initially trying to book a fight with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua and then later Oleksandr Usyk who is the current WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world champion. With Joshua and Usyk hesitating to sign a fight contract, Fury decided to accept a fight with Francis Ngannou.
